In our present days average household in India are racing against time to cope up with the different - deadlines, demands, expectations, Often we are surrounded with situation that demand more physical and mental energy that makes us feel threatened or upset and un balanced in some way which is stress. In small doses these situations aren’t always bad as it is often exciting and helps one perform better under pressure and motivate to do best.
Of Course we all feel down some times when we feel sad, anxious, confused or dissatisfied which is a normal part of life. The sadness or mental expression WHEN interferes with ability to do routine work, study, eat, sleep, and have fun then it’s a stage of alarm. ---Hobbies and friends don’t interest you like they used to; you’re exhausted all the time; and just getting through the day can be overwhelming. That’s a stage of alarm as one is passing into state of depression. The feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, and worthlessness are intense and unrelenting, with little, or no relief
Many a times we don’t realize this stress, depression, emotional imbalance, mental health, negative thinking, becomes a way of life. In our experience in dealing with mental health it has been found that people have very low awareness level and priority on Mental Health is least compared to Physical Ailments like Blood pressure/ Sugar/ Heart Ailments/ Fever etc. They don’t know that there is help available – if they are aware they don’t seek help due to stigma attached to this mental health issue. Of the people who take help end up going to Psychiatrists who only prescribes medication, but they don’t take Counseling through Psychologists or therapists, which is equally important. So often people do not seek help and continue suffering though help is available. Most of Mental illness has cure and people can lead a normal life if they opt to take treatment.
In order to generate awareness about different Psychological and Emotional health issues this blog has been initaited to make Positive Mental and Emotional Health -a health priority.
